Increasing Redemption Rates Through Website and Promotions Analytics

At the heart of the Web strategy, Maxxing's Tracking module is a powerful analytics tool which monitors Website performance and ongoing improvements.

  • Tracking Web site history helps retailers and marketers:
  • Analyse shopper motivations
  • Analyse surfing history: pages visited, time spent per page, visit origin, bounce rate, etc.
  • Analyse purchase history: cart value, abandoned carts, etc.

  • Tracking promotions helps retailers and marketers:
  • Track how promotions are deployed and redeemed in real time
  • Secure and control the deployment of promotions
  • Detect and correct possible errors and issues

Maxxing's Tracking module provides a set of key indicators allowing retailers and marketers to track, understand and anticipate the shopper's behaviour in order to increase redemption rates!


Securing Transactions Through Promotion Tracking

Maxxing's Tracking module meets 3 key requirements:

  • Track consumer buying behaviour through real-time behavioural surfing analytics -- a feature also applicable to physical points of sale.
  • Send promotions in real time depending on surfing history (page visited, product looked at, etc.) with ability to make customer eligible to promotion.
  • Control promotion deployment and redemption in an effort to secure all transactions.

Shopping behaviour and promotion data collected while surfing the Web site is stored and used in the Customer Targeting and Segmentation module in order to compute customer scoring models.
The Tailored Promotions and Customer Management modules control the deployment and redemption of rewards in real time. Through real-time promotion tracking, the promotion engine provides a way to secure transactions by checking every action in real time. It:

  • Identifies promotion triggering and "burning" criteria.
  • Assigns a unique EAN code and checks the customer ID each time a code is redeemed.

For example, if the user designs a promotion that can be deployed and redeemed only once, the redemption system will accept the promotion only once and then block possible fraudulent attempts automatically. Or, if a customer selects a promotion on a mobile application but does not observe redemption criteria, the promotion will be refused and put back on the customer's account for the next purchase.
