One Tool to Plan All Promotional Campaigns

Planning as a Way to Anticipate Future Promotions and Refine Customer Targets

To respond in real time to environment changes, competitors' moves and to the need to interact with the consumer, a campaign planning tool must allow the retailer to define, activate, hold, duplicate and extend promotions, whether targeted or multichannel. As a result, in order to meet objectives, promotional campaigns must be organized and displayed in a structured calendar view.

Through performance planning, interpretation and measure, a thorough post-campaign analysis of promotion impact and all available data is conducted. As a consequence, relevant results allow the retailer to anticipate the definition of future offers, refine customer segments and improve campaigns and campaign planning.

Planning as a Campaign Reporting Tool

Planning provides a global vision, vastly improves the promotion lifecycle management process, provides greater control over the marketing chain, and makes it easier to choose the right consumer targets and campaign implementation periods.

Maxxing's Campaign Management module includes a calendar with multiple levels i.e. year, quarter, month, week and day that can be mixed together for a cross view of actions and campaigns. Campaign Management also simulates the execution of campaigns in variable contexts to help measure the impact.

Particularly helpful in decision-making contexts, it is a tool which effectively measures sales pressure and provides detailed campaign execution reports.

Campaigns can be divided into events and linked to one another. As a result, when campaigns or events are linked together, input can be prior campaign execution results.

In parallel, when a criterion is entered, if one of the elements is missing or if the information is no longer available, the user can proceed directly to the Targeting and Customer Management modules and enter the data without time wasted. The software GUI provides an instant view of trigger criteria e.g. customers, geography, product, date, etc. whether filled out or empty as well as of the campaign's or event's general status. A campaign may be executed only if all events linked to it are also executable. Similarly, a "child" campaign may only be executed if the "parent" campaign also is executable.

MRM (Marketing Resources Management) information can also be handled at this level provided that the budget is defined in MAXXING:

Budget per campaign: internal, external, re-invoicing, etc.
